I was filling up my feeder and to my surprise these Common Redpolls landed and started feeding only feet away from me. I was shocked at how tame they were so I whipped out my camera and snapped a few shots. The camera is a Nikon D40x with a Nikkor AF-S 18-135mm lens.
I think these are the best wildlife shots I've ever taken. Without a massive zoom lens its nearly impossible to get anything descent. I'm just so surprised at how tame they were.
