Canada (Ontario) Ottawa - I was on a footbridge across the Rideau River looking down. The bird was being swept along by the swift water so the shooting time was about two seconds at this point.

Canada (Ontario) Long Sault - Quite a rarity locally. I checked records and it has likely been over 25 years since the last one was seen in the area.

Canada (Ontario) Ottawa often has an overwintering Harlequin, usually a female and occasionally a juvenile male. This one is a male. I went looking for this bird that has been seen in recent days.
