Little Stint (3) (Calidris minuta) User: Chris  (See all photos - 1448) (Comments - 4321)
Canada (British Columbia) Probably the luckiest birding event since moving to BC. I happened to walk up to Dave Beeke about 200 meters out on Boundary Bay looking at a Little Stint. Within 2 minutes had a lifer - as well as a great education on various sandpipers. Thanks to him for showing me and a group of others this little friend from afar.

Canada (British Columbia) Another tough one, however did not want to venture out into the sagebrush to get closer as this is an endangered species in Canada. Seen about 50 meters west of White Lake, BC, Canada.

Lewis's Woodpecker (1) (Melanerpes lewis) User: Chris  (See all photos - 1448) (Comments - 4321)
Canada (British Columbia) This shot won't go down as the most aesthetic, however it came up as a surprise to see him on the side of the road, east of Princeton BC. This is my first time seeing this species.
