South Africa This bird is now known as Cape Spurfowl- Spurfowl and Francolins were split some years ago.Spurfowl have a harsh grating call while Francolins have attractive whistled calls. Cape Spurfowl is a Southern African endemic found only in the SW Cape and in the most southerly corners of Namibia

Greece our last trip in 2019 finished in Greece where we had 4 days of very relaxed birding. This shot shows 4 species in one frame taken on a Greek lagoon. Would anyone -just for a bit of fun- care to try and name all 4 species
