Horned Lark/Shorelark (Eremophila alpestris) User: Brian Morin  (See all photos - 1089)
Canada (Ontario) Marionville- This is the northern subspecies, one of our overwintering birds (yellow above the eyes). The migrant Prairie subspecies (white above the eyes) has arrived but I haven't seen one yet.

I was quite happy with this one. I wished it had been a migrant but we can't be picky. I did see my first migrant Horned Larks today though but no chance for a shot.
