Canada (Ontario) Hamilton - Two immature Ross's Geese spent the winter in a park near the waterfront. Their plumage changed over that time and in recent weeks they showed their new adult plumage. Looking good.

Ross's Geese are uncommon in Ontario during migration and never overwinter. These were real winter rarities. I'm glad I waited until spring to try for them because they are now looking their best.
